Upcoming Events at the Garden

Friday, Oct. 14th - Family Camp Night  starting at 5:00 p.m. we will have Family Camp at the garden.  We will have dinner, camp fire with songs, stories, and snacks, and then breakfast Saturday morning before packing up.  Bring a tent and your camping gear and come join the fun!

Tuesday, Oct. 18th - 5 pm - Book Signing & Cake Walk - Jodi Rhoden has written a book “Cake Ladies, Celebrating a Southern Tradition”  Join us for fun, music, potluck supper with lots of cakes.  One of our featured cake ladies is Betty Compton who is our guest of honor at the cake walk with her famous pound cake.  This book is beautiful to read and beautifully photographed and the recipes are amazing!  So whip up your favorite cake to enter into the cake walk and join us for a fall evening of fun at the Garden.

Volunteer Members Needed!   We are thrilled that so many people became members this season and we would love to see many of you before the season comes to an end in November. The cooler Fall season is such a nice time in the garden so please come out and help us with the many tasks lined up to prepare the garden for winter!  

Ready to Harvest:-basil, arugula, radishes, collards, lettuce, kale, cut flowers, groundhogs!

Carpenters and Event Planners:   If you have a knack for construction or event planning please let us know. Over the next few months we will be building a chicken coop, walk-in cooler, outdoor kitchen and planning fundraising events.

Needs:  sprinkler for irrigation, tractor work (bush hogging and front-end loader), conventional oven with stove top, cabinets, mulch forks, lumber and hardware for a walk-in cooler project.  All gifts are tax-deductible!  Please contact Chas Edens: cmedens@gmail.com.

The last work day at the Garden will be
Saturday, November 19th - 8:00 am - Noon
with a potluck following.  Bring your favorite dish to share
